Grading Policy

For daily assignments, you may find these marks on your child's papers.

For some assignments and all tests and assessments, you will see a standard grading scale:  

When homework is assigned it is expected to be returned the following day unless otherwise noted.  Please let me know if a situation arises that does not allow this to happen. ALL homework is recorded!

Behavior Plan

In our classroom each student will receive a Gennrich Gold (it is actually green since it is my favorite color!) coin.  If the need arises, they will receive a warning.  If their choice/behavior does not improve, they will have their Gennrich Gold removed from them.  If there is still no improvement, then they will receive a red coin.  This is a reflection coin that they must then take over to reflection station and write a "reflection" of what happened and why.  I will send this reflection home for you to sign as well as make a copy for our principal Mrs. Hoffman.  They will also receive a write up and possibly a call home.
Students will receive a slash for keeping their "Gennrich Gold" for both the morning and the afternoon, as after lunch everyone gets the chance to start fresh and hit the "reset" button!  Once they fill their chart up with slashes they will receive a reward such as "Gum Time" or a prize.
